The Moment

I was watching an episode of Proposal Daisakusen (because there's nobody to eat with but the LCD screen) and it's so full of 'is this the moment?' scene. You know... the one that says, "it has to be the right moment. The fireworks. The signs. The people around (or their absence). Everything." In the end, the realization was... 14 years were wasted without being able to 'say it' because he was waiting for that perfect moment. But how do you really know it's THE moment?

As Inay and I were discussing... don't let it pass you by.

Every single time of togetherness is THE moment. The heck with flowers. Moreso, whatever it is you're wearing or eating or holding or doing... just say it... right there... out loud! Pakealam nila. 'Coz there's nothing wrong with it at all. Imagine if everybody can be like this. How many what-ifs would be answered? How many confused hearts would be relieved? Maybe world peace would be even closer to reality at that!

Because the more people there are who show love, the more people can feel loved. And then... more people can be inspired with this love-in-the-air so, more people will love! Hahaha!

All the world needs now
Is love, sweet love

I remember asking Sir Jope before in our Philo class, "Sir, paano nyo po malalaman kung kairos na?" (How will you know if it's kairos (already)?)

Paano ko po malalaman kung aletheia na nga yung nakita ko? (How will I know if what I see is aletheia?)

Man! Parang Eureka moment lang yan. (It's just like a Eureka moment.) Even if you're in the tub, jump out of it and jot down the idea! Else, you might lose it (the short-term memory problems that we humans have, damn).

And just like everything else, you will never know anything about it if you never tried it. Just open the box, and it will reveal itself to you. Although, yes, it takes some effort to choose to open that box.

Sometimes it's just too flashy. Too delicate, you just want to display it. You just want to look at it.

Sometimes, you're just too scared to know what's inside. Maybe it's not what you expect it to be. You're unsure of what it can do to you or mean for you.

Sometimes, you're just lazy. Too lazy to even exert a little bit of effort. Or perhaps, you're just too proud to do it yourself. You want the box to open by itself.

Sometimes, you think that the box has always been just there. And that you have all the time in the world to open it. That it will never be gone from your sight. (What if somebody else sees it and notices that nobody owns it 'coz you never showed interest in it anyway?)

Sometimes too... the box is too far for you to reach. That even if how hard you try, you cannot get a hold of it (This is a different case, although, the mere fact that you reached out is worth it already. The rest is up to the future happenings. Who knows, an earthquake might bring the box closer to you. Hahaha!).

Sometimes, there are too many boxes.

Sometimes, the box is covered by other stuffs.

Sometimes, there is no box.

Is it possible that there is no box at all?

No way.

Everybody has a box.

Open it the moment you find yours.

Empty Spaces

The Voice: Look up. What do you see?
You: Whenever I look up at night these days, the stars are really shining brighter than before. Autumn is nice.
The Voice: What else do you see?
You: Oh, the airplanes. Sometimes I think they are UFO's, you know.
The Voice: That's all?
You: Well, there's the moon too, of course. It's always there. Sometimes it's so big you feel like it's moving towards the Earth.
The Voice: Oh, ok.
You: Seems like you're not satisfied with my answer.
The Voice: No, it's ok.
You: So, what do you see up there tonight?

The Voice: Well, there are lots of empty spaces. Shouldn't they be filled with something?

You: Umm...

Crossing Overload

Sometimes, I wonder
Maybe it's better if
We aren't able to read all the signs

If we didn't know the other options
If we can't see ALL the paths

Then we won't bother
Thinking of the path not taken
Nor
Get confused
On which one to take

If there is just
One sign ahead of you
Perhaps it would be so much easier

But where's the fun in that?

:ahaha:

Superman

I watched it in an episode once.

"Mom, I can see everything. It hurts to be able to see everything."
"Then son, you should learn to close your eyes."

And what if we close our eyes?
Isn't that selfishness?
Hiding and pretending not to know...

You can see because you have to see.

You may not understand why, at first.
You may not understand it ever.
But it's just like that.

Yes. It can suck.

And sometimes, it really sucks.

So what to do?

I don't know too.

Perhaps, just look.
And see.
And feel bad or worse about it. (It can be good too, you know.)

Then act on something!

You can see because you want to see.

The rest...
Is up to you.

Wax and Wane

How can one ever know...

If it's peaking...
Or fading away?

Unless we see it shining fully
Before our eyes.

'Cause after that, we know
Slowly, it's going to be dark

Pitch dark.
(But don't worry, even if we can't see it, it's just there.)

Which is when
We've got to believe
That it will shine again...

Patience, my dear
Because it will always be
Worth the wait.

Only When I Sleep

Everything floats beneath me

And it is reachable
That, which is
Past the infinity of the sky

But when I get to the end of the tunnel
It all ends

For beyond it
I open my eyes
And see that
The world is of course,
As it is supposed to be.

Why?

One day, The Heart wondered...

The Heart: Why am I alone? Everybody has a partner. You have a pair of eyes. Pair of ears. Pair of nostrils. Pair of lungs. Pair of kidneys. Even a pair of brain hemispheres! Why do I stay here on the left of your chest and there's a void at the right? Should you not have another heart?
You: It's true. Why?

The Voice: It's to remind you... that you alone are complete, for you can function well. But you need another to be whole. When you are with another, you fulfill your completeness.
The Heart: I can't understand.

The Voice: Take for example the hands. A single hand is complete on its own. It can function on its own. It can do things alone as well.
But with the other hand, every task becomes easier. You maintain balance. And you can even do more than what you could with just one hand. You can multitask. You can be... more you.
The Heart: Oh, so that's it.
You: But I also just have one mouth. One tongue.

The Voice: That's for you to tell just ONE... the one for you... to share this void beside each other's heart, and fill it with another's.

Imagine you are a cup. Alone, you can be full. But when another one comes, you can fill the other too... with the liquid you contain... and you will have new 'space' to fill, while together with the other cup, while apart.

But together, you can be filled with the same liquid coming from one pitcher. Isn't it cool?

I dedicate this to those who feel that the need to care for another is not a good thing and to those who keep on hiding and running away. Seize the moment... or it will pass you by. ;) I also dedicate this to those who already found their 'other'. Continue filling each other's cups. Hahaha!

We are all connected to the same source. How come, sometimes, it's difficult to reach another? =P

D#

Every note is important.

When one is missing, the melody does not make any sense.
There's no harmony.

But a single key is not enough as well.
You need the rest to make music.

The Mountain

It's a leap of faith

To believe that you can reach

The Highest

...
For how will you know
It's THE Highest
When it never touches
Heaven?
...

But you still went on
Tried and tried so hard
To conquer this feat before you
Because you still believed

It's not really reaching the top
It's not just what's up there

...

It's

mostly

the course

of getting there

that matters.

(And you can look down your path for a while when you reach the top.)
(How peaceful.)

...

For there will always be
another mountain
higher
waiting to be conquered.

Farewell Dear Flowers

The nectar is sweet
When it seems like it's my last
I may not be able
To wait
Until they all come back

My flowers

-The Bee

Fall is NOW.
Leaves start to change their greenish color to red or orange or brown.
Later on, they will fall.

HERE, you find more reason for Carpe Diem.

You see it everyday.

Splash!

As a first post to my first PhotoBlog, I chose this Splash Sequence taken during our Yokohama trip this Summer 2008. I couldn't ride roller coasters for fear of "heart failure" and the likes. However, I realized recently how much of LIFE I have been losing for not even trying to be on these exciting rides. I can compare it, probably, with watching horror films. It's not just for the sake of fun... for me, it's also for the sake of just being there. Of allowing yourself to jump into something out-of-the-norm---into that uncomfortable zone, which you have prevented yourself from getting near to because of circumstances you're not even sure would happen ('cause you never tried).

It's my way of letting go... and of jumping in. I remember that very famous Philo quote "lundagin mo, beybe!"

Yeah! Hello to everything new. Hello to taking risks and chances. Hello to the real world.

Welcome to the world as I see it through lenses. ^_^ Enjoy your stay.
